Osteopath and Co-founder

Joad graduated from Leeds Beckett University over 10 years ago.

He became interested in osteopathy after shadowing various different medical professionals from consultants to manual therapists until, in France, he came across an osteopath who was also qualified as a physiotherapist. He saw first-hand how manual therapy could help different people in different ways.

Throughout his career Joad has worked with people from various walks of life. He has enjoyed working with athletes when working at the British Athletic Championships, Amersham and Chiltern RFC and for a School Rugby Team, but he also appreciates working with people who have non sport-related complaints. What he loves about osteopathy is how he can offer strong effective treatment with non-invasive therapy. Joad loves to treat the body as a whole. He does this by looking at all aspects of a person’s life in order to understand how and why your body is exhibiting your symptoms. He enjoys working with you in order to come up with a solution to get you back doing your daily activities with ease.

During Joad’s professional career he has undertaken many post graduate courses to improve himself in order to give his patients the best care. Some of the post graduate courses he has done are:

  • Kinesiology Taping
  • Sports Massage
  • Sports Trauma and Management
  • Yoga for Manual Therapist – Back Care, Better Breathing and Persistent Lower Back Pain
  • Cranial Osteopathy at the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy
  • Approach for Pregnant Women
  • Visceral Osteopathy
  • Classical Osteopathy Diploma

Outside of work, Joad takes great enjoyment in visiting new places, whether that be countries or areas round the UK, as well as, meeting new people and hearing their stories. He also loves spending time with his family in France and Jordan. Coming from a multi-cultural family he savours different cuisines (any recommendations welcome 😉) and finds nothing better than getting people round a table and enjoying food. A newer passion has been his house plants and trying to keep his 25+ plants not only alive but thriving. You might find Joad in his happy places spending time in nature, whether that be up skiing in the mountains, where his grandmother was from or down under in the depths of the sea.
