Osteopath and Co-founder

Davina graduated in 2013 with a Master’s degree in Osteopathy

And went on to complete a post-graduate training specialising in paediatrics and women’s health from the prestigious Osteopathic Centre for Children in London. Over the years she has continued to complete extensive training in the cranial approach to osteopathy with the Sutherland Cranial College for Osteopathy.

Having worked at The Chandos Clinic in Bristol for the first 12 years of her career she is now excited to build her own venture here at Clifton Osteopathy and Health.

Davina’s treatment style involves developing an in-depth understanding of your individual concerns. This includes how the pain arose, an exploration of past health issues or injuries which may be contributing to today’s issue, a comprehension of lifestyle, emotional and stress factors which may also influence health and pain levels, and of course, your own individual expectations and goals for recovery.

Davina uses a combination of structural and cranial osteopathy techniques, western medical acupuncture, and sports massage techniques, allowing her to develop an integrated treatment approach tailored very specifically to your needs.

Although Davina appreciates her specialised training in paediatrics and women’s health, she also enjoys the variety of practice. She is particularly motivated to help her patients understand why their problem arose; having a comprehensive understanding of your own symptoms is the start of the journey to being able to positively influence and control your symptoms, alongside the hand’s-on treatment in your appointments with Davina.

Q&A

What are your hobbies?

I love anything outdoors – hiking, kayaking, camping, river swimming, gardening, listening to the birds. But on a rainy day I’m also very happy to curl up on the sofa with a good book.

Mountains! I do love lying on the beach with a good book, but I get restless fairly quickly so somewhere beachy with nearby mountains to climb, corals to dive at or jungles to explore is ideal. And sunshine – essential!

My sister moved to Bristol for uni, and I’d often come and visit her, and I just began to love this city! I love the huge variety of cultural and social events there are, as well as the easy access to amazing countryside all around us. The Mendips are a favourite of mine to get out and have a good hike.

My passion for natural health isn’t just contained within the treatment room – it runs through my whole life. I believe our lives are our medicine, so my favourite food is generally something delicious and healthy with quality ingredients and a good dose of spices and flavour – asian foods are generally great at hitting these marks.

I spend time with my closest friends, get out for a long walk in the Mendips or in Wales, and make sure I have some down-time planned with no schedule.
